WOW!!! That was an AMAZING weekend. And yes, I am doing “quiet” work today reflecting (and recovering) from all the fun we had at Walton Church’s fun fair helping to send kids to camp. And…(be sure to scroll down for the pic’s on this one) celebrating a Carnival themed party for the Grand Prize Winner of the National Kinder Surprise contest. Does a weekend get any more fulfilling than that? Two amazing events = one inspired weekend!
First up, each year we are the proud sponsor of the Walton Memorial United Church’s annual Fun Fair in Oakville. We have been participating in this event for at least 7 or 8 years now (possibly more!) and it is one of the highlights of the year for our team. Why? Because not only are we bringing joy and fun to the kids that attend, but we are also helping to send kids to summer camp. All proceeds from the fun fair are donated to Kerr Street Ministries to help fund their summer camp program so those children who cannot afford to go to camp, get the opportunity to experience the amazing fun and learning that summer camp brings.
We fully donate all of our services and our team looks forward to this event every year. We brought in a bouncy castle, basketball toss, glitter tattoos and balloon animals to complement the fun games, activities and the famous Cake Walk that volunteers from the church hosted. Here is a glimpse of some of the fun we had:

Then on Sunday, we had the fortunate pleasure of hosting a Carnival themed party for the Kinder Surprise National Contest winner. Four year old Bradley, was the lucky winner and he along with 10 friends and their parents enjoyed a 3 hour Carnival extravaganza complete with “surprises” throughout the party! Children had fun on the bouncy castle, challenging their skills at the carnival games, they enjoyed face painting and glitter tattoos as well as a photo booth! Taking breaks for some food to refuel before going back to play some more.
Upon arrival, guests had to guess how many Kinder Egg Capsules were in the giant egg! Any guesses……well if you guessed 75 then you were right!! Rowan was the lucky winner guessing 60 capsules and he went home with all the toys! Then the party kicked off with a group game “Kinder Walk”. While the music played, the kids danced around the room until the music stopped, quickly finding a numbered Kinder Egg to stand on. If their number was called, they were out for this round. The last one to remain in the game won a prize!
The first SURPRISE was a cotton candy machine! Everyone enjoyed a tasty treat of fluffy cotton candy. Who could resist?
The next SURPRISE was the CAKE!!! Afterall, it is not a party without a CAKE! This beautiful design was created by Emily and her team at LaRose Bakery in Milton. They did not disappoint. Not only was the cake beautiful, it tasted amazing too! And Bradley got to take home the top layer Kinder Egg to enjoy in the days to come!
The third SURPRISE was…..BALLOON ANIMALS! Our talented Par-T-Crew brought out the balloon cart and twisted all sorts of beautiful designs for the children. To make their balloon animals extra special, children got to decorate the balloons making them clearly unique!
The final SURPRISE was the amazing Magic of Scott Dietrich who dazzled Bradley and his friends with his interactive magic tricks and illusions. Each child at the party got to participate in a part of the show. And the highlight of Scott’s appearance? Meeting “Sir Walken” a real live bunny at the end of the show!
The children and their families had a great time and each child went home with lot’s of Kinder Eggs as well as a Par-T-Pet stuffing kit to make at home!
A special thank you to Kinder Surprise for having us be a part of this special day for Bradley and his family and friends, creating lasting memories for a long time to come!
