Unicorns are all the rage right now – only exasperated by Starbucks Unicorn Frappacino bonanza!
Do you have a little girl obsessed with Unicorns? It’s a very popular party theme, and the options are endless what you can do!
If you stick with a rainbow colour theme (either pastel or bright), you will be all set! You just build from there (decorations, cake, invitations and more!)
Okay, lets start with the invitations. Yesterday, my #TipTuesday on Facebook was to use an online program or app to invite guests to your party. Saves money and time and keeps your guest list organized and accessible anywhere. My favourite online site is Evite. So many FREE designs to choose from and super easy to use and customize. I typed in “Unicorn Birthday” and 8 FREE options came up. Here’s my personal favourite: Unicorn Invite and it’s animated too!! Even the eye on the unicorn winks a you! How cute is that?
Okay, next is the decorations – rainbows, rainbows, rainbows – stick with rainbows and you are golden! Check out my previous blog: 5 ideas to decorate for a party that make you look like a pro….but don’t cost a fortune! for a number of different ideas. There is a rainbow streamer backdrop, beautiful simple ceiling decor with plastic table covers and table covers dressed up! All of them are perfect for a Unicorn party!
Cake – who doesn’t love cake! You can search up “Unicorn Cake” on Google and you will get millions of pictures. Since I am somewhat limited on my cake decorating abilities, I opt for a simple, quick, easy to do cake or cupcakes that makes me look like I spent a ton of time putting it together. “Rainbow Marble Cupcakes” are easy to make and look great!
Okay, now you are all set, but what are you going to do with the kids? You can break the ice first with “What’s Your Unicorn Name?” Kids always find these hilarious! Have some plain white labels and markers so they can make their own name tag.
You can play group games, like “Pin the Horn on the Unicorn” or grab some hula hoops and paint a traffic cone a pastel colour and you have a ‘ring toss on the unicorn horn’ game!
Crafts or colouring sheets are always good to keep kids busy. Have them decorate their own unicorn and use coloured “Froot Loops” to make a rainbow!
A great idea for an activity at the party is Par-T-Pets. Their unicorn stuffie is perfect and comes in white or pink. Kids will stuff the unicorn at the party, complete with a wishing star and adoption certificate. And guess what? That also doubles as your loot bag!
Or another great idea are Jamberry Nail Wraps. Check out their “Unicorn Dreams” Junior wrap design. What an amazing alternative to nail polish – no drying time and they last up to 2 weeks (plus the are non-toxic, 8 Free and Vegan!).
And if you are looking for someone to do the work for you with Par-T-Pets or Jamberry. you can contact Par-T-Perfect and they can provide you with Par-T-Leaders to facilitate the activities. Does it get any easier than that?
The ideas are endless when it comes to unicorns! Put some magic into your next party!
